6/25/24: Tailout Anglers is done guiding for the foreseeable future.
I am moving to the Bay Area, CA over the summer. While this transition is bittersweet, I am excited to soon be working full time at Lost Coast Outfitters fly shop in San Francisco. My destination travel and hosted trips will continue. In conjunction with the shop, I hope to expand travel offerings and hosted trips in the future. If you find yourself in the Bay Area, swing by the shop and say hi. Bring an 8-weight and hit the beach for striped bass too.
If you need guide reccommendations for Washington, please shoot me an email. I'll be glad to help.
I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who I had the privelege to taking fishing over the last 8 years, those who took me fishing, gave me advice, or were just a friendly face on the water. Tailout Anglers isn't going away entirely, just shifting. Newsletters and trip reports will continue on a more quarterly-ish basis. My Instagram and email will remain the same as well. I will be writing the LCO newsletter too. Visit the website if you want to sign up for that one. I promise, if anything, it will be entertaining.

Whether it's introductory fly casting, spey casting, fly tying, beach fishing or just about anything else fly fishing, we love helping anglers of all levels try new things and progress within the sport. New anglers are integral to the future of fly fishing, and conservation of our fisheries lies with creating advocates that truly care about the arteries that connect the world. Likewise, it's important for existing fly anglers to expand their fly fishing horizons and become better fishermen. Keep reading about our different class offerings.
